How to get Somaya’s flawless make up!
January 28, 2010 in Style & Beauty
Now this will be fun! Although on the norm I don’t wear makeup. Boy is it fun to glam yourself up. I will be sharing all my make up tips straight from my make up artists. I’m constantly asked how do I get my signature pink lipstick.
I’ll let you in on my little secret shhhh. I’ve been wearing this light bubble gum pink lipstick since I can remember. Pink is one of my favorite colors. I absolutely adore it and have found a way to make an original, bubble gum Somaya, color mix!
I use a combination of colors and brands. I’m a big fan of MAC cosmetics. MAC is used by all the professionals, but you don’t have to be a professional to use them. They have an awesome collection of lip glosses and lip sticks. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of their lip glosses. You can add a top coat of lip gloss to any lipstick and virtually change bland lips into sexy kissable lips.
To get the bubble gum lips you may combine the following. You don’t have to use MAC, however MAC will guarantee the results you want. No need to worry if MAC isn’t affordable for you. I’ve been to many small stores and used the same color combination of the MAC lipsticks-have gotten similar results.

Find the following colors:
- The palest, beige, almost white nude.
- An 80′s hot pink, not too fuchsia.
- A lavender, light purple or violet. Key word LIGHT!
- A lip gloss with a slight pink tint to it.
Now comes the fun part, mixing, blending the colors to make your very own original, bubble gum Somaya, color mix! You can either mix these straight onto your lips or on a mirror. If you decide to put it to the test directly onto your lips, here we go.
- Apply the pale beige first. You may think your lips look like a ghost, but it is important you know. This is your foundation.
- Apply just a little bit of the hot pink color over it. DO NOT put on too much or your lips will look like Pepto Bismol. lol
- Put the lavender color on top of these two colors.
- Smoother the colors together with your lips.
Here is the tricky part. After smothering your lips together. Put the lip gloss on top of everything and repeat. NOTE: If the color is too light. Apply a little bit of hot pink. If it is too pink, apply the lavender color over it. Smoother your lips and repeat these steps until you achieve your very own original, bubble gum Somaya, color mix!
