I lost 6 sizes, over 40 pounds without a diet and gym!

This is for REAL people out there. Do not fall for the “celebrity” diet secrets. That is all a LIE!!!

I was inspired to post this on my website after cooking a few healthy means tonight. You can eat what you want BUT, you gotta cook it HEALTHY! I have gone thru the ups and downs of weight loss like
everyone else. When I first started in the entertainment business I had someone
convince me I was “fat” (mind you I was like 135 lbs at 5’10) so I spiraled downwards into a never ending cycle of bulimia and
anorexia all at the same time. A DEADLY COMBINATION!I have already told you my story. If not scroll thu the blogs and you will find it.  I am now a 40-28/30-46 160. There is no such thing as a “magic pill” or a magic anything to loose weight. I too have suffered the
pressure of the yo yo dieting until something happened that was out of my
control. I caught a severe pneumonia that lasted for about 5 months, bed ridden
and was put on steroids-other medications. It eventually shot up my weight
HEAVY. There was nothing I could do about it as if I stopped taking my meds well
I would die. Just 2 years ago I was at my heaviest due to this. My schedule has
always been hectic being an independent artist. In the entertainment industry YOU GOTTA STAY FIT. Staying fit and NOT falling into the trap of looking like a skeleton is KEY for me. I am totally against loosing my curves for Hollywood. My schedule is always go go go go go…..no
time for breakfast. So I do what works for me. Anyways, I tried everything to get back to normal. I have never ate
extremely unhealthy but due to me being sick and the combo of an eating
disorder, it was almost IMPOSSIBLE to loose the weight and get back to a
healthy anything.

I’m a Latina so you KNOW I like to eat :) I refuse to not indulge in what I
want. I just found better ways of cooking and dining out healthier. EAT CLEAN. Keep the fried stuff to a minimum if you HAVE too. That will not help you tho. Be real with yourself. You can eat
out at restaurants for dinner but don’t eat pasta a few times a week at Olive
Garden thinkin “only this time” that wont work. YOU know in your gut if what you are going to eat is all bad. Be realistic
with yourself. Make REAL goals. Wanna loose 20 pounds? Start with 5 pounds at a
time but…… ideally “weight” is NOT what you should be focused on loosing, but
instead SIZE and building muscle. Take your time and don’t get discouraged. I
know many of us have our daily haters. The “get your fat ass in the gym” ones. I have been a victim of “online” bullies constantly bashing me calling me “a fat pig” because I gained weight 2 years ago.

Even tho I lost it now I still get the hate. BUT! You have to pay no mind to them. Do it at your own pace. As far as gym! Do the classes. I swear by
those classes. OMG you feel motivated by doing it with others. Find friends to
go walking with or hiking. I don’t go to the gym at all. I do Tai Bo DVD’s,
small group classes of military training/boxing and I LOVE hiking. I get really
bored at the gym and hate those stalker guys talking to me when I’m trying to
work out. I don’t care if you are as fine as Paul Walker or Tyrese. STOP
TALKING TO ME DAMMIT! LMAO I prefer to go hiking! I hike almost daily.  I also have a weight set at home that I use for arms
and squats and I jump rope a lot. Fellas
can also do the classes or workout DVD’s at home. You aint gotta worry about
being embarrassed about getting your Tai Bo on at home. Go to Amazon and find
the workout DVD’s of your choice. THEY REALLY WORK!!!!!!

If you like to go out and drink. Stick to red wines, or LIGHT beer. And don’t drink a damn case of beer and swear if you hit the gym the next day you gonna loose weight lol. Again be realistic and HONEST with yourself!

So this is what I did.

First of all, those diets DO NOT WORK. The food is
flavorless period. And I know the sound of “low fat” foods sounds GROSS but
believe me. It’s better to eat those than pack on the pounds and look at
yourself and FEEL gross. Diets like, the eat protein only, or juice diets, no
this and no that. Well, do you really think you can maintain that? Ummmmm no! Everyone
has different reasons they gain weight, kids, long hours, depression etc.

Here is how you are going to fix that.

If you are depressed you really need to find a way to not
use food as your comfort. I know it’s REALLY hard! Trust me I know J
If you need to eat, keep healthy stuff around. Find the foods you like. STOP OBSESSING!
Omg I have to loose 5 pounds in 1 week is NEVER going to work. If you are a
woman with cellulite or a guy that wants to look like a body builder, TRUST me
you can’t let that make you obsessed. Stop trying to look like so and so. Take
your time. What’s the rush? You want it to last for a long time right?

You like burgers? Make them at home with lean meats only.
Try using no mayo and instead use mustard. If you absolutely have too, use the light mayo. But DO NOT slather it on. You like Mexican food? Again make it at home and use
organic or fresh veggies to make fajitas. Keep the salt low! You can eat bread
but don’t go eating the whole damn loaf lol. Try and cut the carbs at ..4 pm.. and keep the dinners without them unless
they are in veggies like spinach, soy beans, corn etc…I also rotate my food. One week I will go 100% vegetarian. This sounds gross but you can make it all taste so good. If you have to eat a meat with it but stay away from trying this if you already know in your heart you will fail. You will only disappoint yourself. And that SUCKS :( Also, make EXTRA food to keep in the fridge for later. I am the Tupperware QUEEN lol. DRINK a lot of water. I used to hate the taste of water coz it is sooooo plain. But I LOVE it now. I drink atleast 1 glass with every meal and up to 1 gallon a day. I like FIJI water btw….holla at me FIJI for an endorsement. hahaha

**health trick**

Always have a salad (no iceberg lettuce use romaine or red
leaf) with your dinner with light vinaigrette dressings ONLY! The salad helps
you digest your dinner. I had a trainer that told me that and OMG it works.

For those that can’t cook or do not have time to do it.
Instead of hitting the drive-thru, drive to the grocery store or Subway (don’t
put all that damn mayo on your sub either lol) get the pre packaged meals over by the deli
sections. Read the labels for the calorie counts. You can’t tell me “I don’t
have time to find a grocery store”….you found time look for that McDonalds
right? Ok……

Here is a list of low fat alternatives

(you will get used to
them just be open minded)

-Pan sprays,

-I can’t Believe it’s Not Butter (light)

-Jenny O’s (lean) ….Turkey….
(they have bacon too that’s good)

-1-2% skim milk

-Egg Beaters

-Stock up on fruits

-Veggies

-Use Splenda or Stevia as a sugar alternative
(stop eating sweets like cakes-pies-candy)
-Tortillas, use corn not flour

***I haven’t tried supplements yet but I will get more info and tell you when I find out.

Here is a photo of what’s in my fridge. If you notice I do have a PROTEIN powder drink. It’s Pure Protein “cookies & cream” flavored. It has 1 gram of sugar, 22 of protein and only 100 calories. I make a shake when i’m on the run. I LOVE sweets so I use Splenda or Stevia on everything. lol I also have alot of veggies and many of the items on the list above.
