I’ve been extremely fortunate to have traveled the world with my career. Experiencing other cultures, music, foods etc. From Egypt to Australia to France to Japan., Sweden etc I’m in London a lot and still have my condo out there now. I have been on the radio in the UK and have been very fortunate to build fans in Europe, coz that is exactly where i’m trying to be. YEY! I can’t begin to describe the European music scene. The dopest part of it is that it’s run by the KEY element that ties music together “The DJ’s”…! I’ve been so inspired by this that I’ve been working on a whole new unique sound and style. I’m definitely gonna be the ONLY Latina in the game doing this style I’ve created. The DJ’s mixes of many of today’s artists are tres’ fab!!! Unlike the US, it’s crazy how many people really LOVE their music over seas and how the scene embraces new artists. The music sales of many of your favorite artists here in the US (started out there too) these artists are way major in Europe & Australia before they hit the U.S. The DJ electro/house scene overseas packs venues of a minimum of 10 thousand, it’s insane!! You’ve never been to a real party until you experience being at a venue of 30 thousand people going crazy to the DJ spinning and performances until the wee hours of the morning. It’s nuts…..!! I know many of you in the US are still unfamiliar with this style of music. and that’s ok. I’m gonna school yall, so read close and follow me down this crazy road of my music I was so excited to hear that David Guetta broke a electro/dance/pop record here on US radio called “Sexy Chick” FT: Akon. It became the #1 song on KIIS FM. That’s a huge movement for electro/dance lovers. David is a highly respected house producer and DJ from France. He has produced for everyone Estelle, Kid Cudi, Kelly Rowland and many many more! This is the beginning of a HUGE movement that is slowly making it to the US. I am excited to let you all here all of what is to come from me. Get familiar with these other ill DJ’s. DJ-Armand Van Helden, Space Cowboy, Tiesto. Anyways, because rap is stil my frist love. I decided to make my album a mix of Electro/Pop/Rock/Rap with strong DJ mixes backing me. Tramp is currently being mixed into a sick house/electronica mix for Europe! Holla….. I created a FREE hot line where all my fans call me from around the world. And yes! It is FREE of charge and YES it is really me that answers. I created this to give out weekly advice and motivational messages. I know we all need some guidance at times and advice. This is what I do best, HELP people who are in need of it. I had no idea about this until my fans told me. But my song made it to the front page of iTunes next to all the major artists, Usher, Flo Rida, Kelis etc. It’s under News and Noteworthy WOW. Talk about consistency! Very interesting to listen to myself giving advice in 2007 just like I do now. This is right around the time I was battling my pneumonia (when I gained weight) When HBO, E! Television, Spike and MTV was calling. I was just breaking slowly in the media. I have always shared my story of struggle in order to inspire and motivate others.

I woke up today with severe stomach pains that I have on occasion as a direct result of my past eating disorder. This is no secret, as I’ve spoken about this before. However today I woke up with the worse of razor sharp pains, that inspired me to blog about this. I choose to share my story of struggle in order to inspire and motivate others. Both men and women suffer this. If you’re ever need someone to talk to about this, I am here or call me 1(213)785-7668. I will be posting up how I lost all the weight and how to keep it off in another blog. This will explain the primary reason why I am NOT A MODEL nor will I ever want to be. I love my music and acting. That is what I will always do. This is also the reason I am so rebellious against the industry “standards” and how they affect women across the world by calling them “fat” when they are not! I will fight the media until they change this stupid unrealistic “Barbie” mentality. Another reason why I hate when people hate on “plus size women” like Gabourey Sidibe the actress “Precious” I think she is a hero for not being ashamed of her size. Shoooo, she’s booking more covers than girls my size! **standing ovation**

When I first started in the biz I was discovered by one of thee biggest agencies (I can’t name them) and i’m talking BIG – they had Tyra Banks on their roster. Anyways, coming from the hood and being naive to the biz and wanting to make some extra money. I had no idea what I was getting into. The agent said I was a little “fat” but not “too fat” and if I lost 10 pounds I could work. Mind you I was 18, 5’9 at 130-135. That seems thin right? Well not for them. They flew me out to New York where I lived for 6 months, where my nightmare began. My agent got me straight into the recording studio. Back then I was rapping more. I would record at night and audition in the daytime on 4 hours sleep. I booked some serious acting commercials, then the campaigns like Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, GAP, shot for Guess etc Not to mention I was photographed by the elite of photographers like the late Herb Ritts & Dave LaChapelle After being surrounded amongst all these skinny tall chicks and auditions that kept telling me to loose more weight. It got in my head. I learned tips on “how to starve” and hide it WELL! No one would have ever guessed I was dying on the inside, literally. I starved myself down to a size 0-2 and about 105-110 pounds. Yes I said 105 pounds! Scary. I began to develop the deadliest combination of both Anorexia & Bulimia. There were times I would cry because my stomach would hurt so bad, but my family needed money back home so I continued down this spiral. One disorder is where you eat crazy then get rid of it, and the other is extreme starvation! When I came back to L.A my mother thought I was on drugs because I came back unrecognizable. I began working for the L.A agency and it was the same program. Starve to stay working.
Years of starving passed, I developed anemia and had a string of pneumonia’s. I began fainting on sets, and no one even cared to ask me if I was ok. I remember once fainting while filming and the agent was like “take an energy pill” it will help you. He knew I was starving because he was the one that would give me tips on how to do it. They didn’t care! They just wanted to worry about getting the job done. I could have DIED that day!
I had a roommate who found me on the kitchen floor. I fainted and had a severe pneumonia. Pneumonia & Anorexia go hand in hand! But I didn’t even know I had it. I was rushed to the hospital where they basically said I was going to die if I did not get healthy. Mind you, after living in the hood and seeing death a few times when I was shot up on different parts of my body. I DID NOT WANT TO DIE! There in tears I confessed to him that I needed help because I was starving to be thin. I finally had enough of this. This is where my real battle began, trying to recover from this addiction is the worse battle you can think of. I began eating little by little. Eating made me feel “guilty” and I couldn’t bare the thought of eating more than an orange and an egg a day. Coming from a Latino household, having curves is normal. But in this business it is shunned on as being “fat” the media feeds everyone this BS.
About 2 1/2 years ago it really hit the fan. Over time my body started to get to a normal weight but I still had some bad eating disorder habits. I caught yet another pneumonia and through the meds. I gained like 70 pounds. It was horrible because that is when I was just breaking in the media. That is when I was named “The Hottest Woman On The Web” by E! Television! I was doing all these interviews chunky. Imagine working to break in the biz your whole life? Then breaking, when you are at your worse? It was horrible and OMG the hating began!! When my interviews hit on E! television people began talkin ish. Being a public figure if you gain or loose a pound everyone knows it! I became the victim of many blogs calling me “fat” and “photo shopped” when in reality I was fighting to stay ALIVE and I couldn’t help it. The meds caused me to gain weight.
I wanted so bad to fire back: Look i’m sorry I cannot be a size 0 or a 4 anymore. But here is the truth _________! But I couldn’t, so I secretly went into hiding and focused on my music, working out and getting healthy again.
I’m just a chill girl that rose out the hood. I am far from being that chick that can’t live without her make up and fancy clothes. I wear jeans and t-shirts with no make up daily. I blog LIVE like that too coz it aint no thang to me. Yes I have a full makeup and hair team that hook me up, but this is for FOR MY JOB and because I do love cutting edge fashion! I’m happy to say that now although at times I have urges of Anorexia, I am recovered. I lost all the weight and kept it off by simply getting back to a healthy frame of mind and I found a way to eat healthy without the food tasting like flavorless diet food GROSS. lol I am now a healthy size 12 and proud to be 40-28-46 at 165 I have booty, and thighs. So what? Funniest thing is, even now I read all the time how “fat” I am. Except now, it doesn’t hurt me. My body is not what makes me my money! It is my talent and countless businesses.
