[PHOTOS] Memorial day with Somaya Reece & the troops!

Have a safe memorial day weekend and remembert hat the meaning behind it is not to PARTY. But instead to remember all our fallen troops. As a person that gives back to their community, lost friends in Iraq,  and enlisted in the Marines. I often visit the troops and am currently working on a USO tour for them. It is not easy to get on a USO tour but now that I have built my name I am in contact with their offices and am setting this up. Please know. Our US troops  are the definition of bravery. They unselfishly fight for us and deserve to be observed on this Memorial day.

Many families will never get to see their brother, mother, cousin, sister, niece etc Let’s  say a prayer today for our fallen & fighting troops. Support them and salute them whenever you see them.

Hey yall. Go to your local newsstand or wherever they carry magazines and get a copy of my “media issue” of J’Adore magazine. I’m everywhere right now!!!!! It’s pretty crazy. I’m promoting my new musc, album and deals. I’m so humbled! It’s going a little fast and over night but hey….atleast it’s moving.

I AM NOT A MODEL! I REPEAT I AM NOT A MODEL. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY WOULD EVEN WRITE THAT. I do have a lot of campaigns under my belt tho. REAL legit work.

Somaya Reece is not your average woman. Or is she? About 99.9 percent of the world would think that a gorgeous actress, model and singer with more than a 30 million views and 865,000 friends on MySpace alone would consider herself extraordinary. My experience out here in the East Coast! The men are SEXXY.

This is a sidebar. lol Now that i’m staying here *NJ/NYC* longer (possibly moving here for the summer) I have noticed that the East Coast men are sexy as hell!!!!! So. lol Hmm. Normally I never give shout outs to the fellas but since I have been here I am inspired to write a few songs about you fellas. East Coast guys come in all shades and the majority of them speak Spanish! That’s so hot. It’s really crazy and their accents are soooooooo SEXY on point. Aooooowwww.

It’s interesting because in L.A most of my fellas are from Mexico or El Salvador. Def hotness. Out here it’s like every country lives here.

So far i’ve met guys that are from Dominican Republic, Puerto Rican, and ITALIAN. Lots and lots of Italians!!!!!!! Dayum.  Italian and Egyptian too?? WOAH! lol What else we got out here? I need to know. lol

I’m from the West Coast and my fellas there are HOT too. Let’s not forget that. But. I’m on the East Coast now :)

My experience out here has been AMAZING! Everyone is so welcoming. My producer Cito & his wifeys family have been so sweet to me.

His grandma cooks the best food and she wont let me come into her house without having some. She’s the best!  I love FAMILY. Forget all the Hollywood stuff and all the crazy that goes on in my life. FAMILY IS THE BEST. My friends out here have become my family. TEAM SOMAYA! I went to go eat some local food spots. Had some 99 cent pizza. haha lol It was gooooood. I have a few friends out here that are taking me out to eat in the local spots. So far it’s been amazing! Check out these yummy dishes…….and this is excluding the men. lol I was talkin bout food sheesh :)

Thought I would share my experience so far. I have only been here 1 week and have had a blast. This weekend we are BBQing for the holiday with my friends family.

My promotional music tour in the East Coast has been non stop!!! Thank you to everyone supporting me. I did a heart to heart interview with La Esquina Radio on UrbanLatinoRadio.com They embraced me with so much love and respect it was amazing. My interview was the HIGHEST listened to in the hystory of their show, 1.2 million listeners. That’s pretty crazy. lol My internet numbers have never died! Pretty dope. Mario Vasquez was also there. He is a sweetie and is promoting his new projects. Here is a clip from my Ustream.

Yesterday was a great day. My HOT DJ friend  and for real he is fiiinnneeeee lol DJ 7 Soundz blessed me with a radio interview at Rutgers radio  here in NYC. The interview went well as we discussed the new sound to my music, family and my upcoming films. Many fans tuned into both our Ustream, and station itself. Later on that evening DJ 7 Soundz came to my recording session to support. Not only did he gives my producer and I great direction, but we made a few HIT records he will be helping us break…..SOON!
