Last night we were invited to a very private show (only 100 ppl invited) for Ne-Yo & Estelle. It was amazing! Had a blast with Gabby, my manager and executive producer of my Vh1 show & SUPER manager Mona Scott Young. Ne-Yo is always so sweet, met him many times through my peers in L.A and he is still a humble guy. Yall know I looooooove me some Estelle from when I first heard of her way back when I lived in London 6 years ago. Check out the photos. Enjoy

I’m excited to say that after 4 1/2 long weeks of being down with a severe bronchial cold. 
I have a week left of bed rest. FINALLY! My inhaler has had me awake in spurts of energy. Very weird.
The good news is, i’m ready to get back to work. And that’s all I care about right now! If you know me, you know how hard I grind, all by myself, you know i’m going stir crazy over here. lol
The bad news, my work is so backed up due to being down for 4 weeks. I have a ridiculous amount of work to catch up on. The list is LONG from features I haven’t finished, 4 of my music videos were on hold, and getting back to finishing my mixtape/album, my merchandise, omg so much much more. This has to be wrapped up in less than a month o_O
Back to the good news My first single produced by Cito On The Beat – “Dale Mami” ft: Lumidee and focus of the beginning year has dropped on my DJ’s mixtape. DJ Spin King presents “Hip House” everyone is on it Somaya Reece, Diggy Simmons, Lil Twist, Red Cafe, Fatman Scoop, Maino, Jae Millz, Cassidy & sooo many more! It’s received a lot of press and great feedback from radio, DJ’s, fans including Vibe magazine writing about it. What a blessing. Shooting a video to “Dale Mami” is on the schedule as well.
Other good news. While I was sick Vh1 for my show “Love & Hip Hop” booked me on magazines, both covers & feature stories regarding my music and show. Did a photoshoot for them and all. We are starting our press run, expect to see me & our show everywhere. My most exciting moments will be going on Don Francisco, Wendy Williams, Chelsea Lately, George Lopez, The View, Ellen and El Gordo Y La Flaca I’ll be flying to L.A for 2 months to do a press run with my Los Angeles management. Oh and of course recording more music. I will also be dusting off my furniture. lol My house is just sitting there while i’m over here in New York working. I’m so excited to see my family and friends. I miss them so much, I am nothing without my family.
I’m so thankful I disciplined myself and took almost 4 years off to develop myself as an artist. This is all i’ve ever wanted to do, but all the noise around me kept overshadowing my efforts. I’m so glad I took to the time to really develop my music, polishing up my skills was the best thing I could have ever done. I’ve recently met with 5 major record labels (2 offers) that listened to my new material and brought me in. My polished work is really showing and has gotten the respect of a lot of people I was dying to work with. Hard work, consistency and determination really pays off. I have quality radio ready music to push this year. So excited!!! Boss Lady & Dale Mami is a clear example of it. Can’t wait….
What’s next for Somaya Boss Reece “La Jefa” is something very serious!
Thank you TEAM SOMAYA for holding me down while i’ve been sick. We’re taking this to the top and I need you rooting for me along the way. You know the haters are always lurking when it comes to me. When you’re a BAD BITCH!!!!!!! They all wanna take you down. Too bad they can’t. ha

Hey guys Feliz Navidad! It’s been a few days that I have updated. It’s a little crazy over here with my new Broadway play schedule and recording. However. You know I never forget you guys. So. The other night me and my castmates had some radio promo. After our interviews we all went out. Well, I should say, my girl First Lady said I better go. lol I cannot begin to tell you how loving my castmates are, the experience with this cast is truly magical and POSITIVE! We have had a chance to bond which is making the chemistry of our play so amazing. Ok so, onto the party. We all went to Busta Rhymes artist Reek Da Villian’s “The Gift” Mixtape Release Party . It was a lot of fun and we danced a lot. Caught up with a lot of people I know out in NYC bit haven’t seen because I was working on my VH1 show almost daily. TEAM SOMAYA!! I have news. I don’t even know how to begin to tell you this but. New York, does not let me want to go back to L.A I have a great announcement for you. You know my acting goes along with my music hand in hand and I LOVE both of them equally. I’ve been studying several scripts on the low, two which I have booked. Due to my crazy schedule I have limited time restrictions. I am glad I found these great projects to fit just perfectly into what I am doing in 2011. Or should I say I was blessed they found me
First one: I am happy to announce that “Phoenix Rising Productions” has casted me as the 
“LEAD” to my very first Broadway stage play!!!!!! Yes. Broadway, a real Broadway show where I will be acting and singing my music live. My name in bright lights on BROADWAY!!!! I am very excited and honored I was chosen for this as I was up with many great actors and artists.
I’m so glad to be getting right back into my acting immediately after shooting my first reality show for VH1 here in New York. I will be sharing the stage with many talented individuals in both music and radio. Julito McCullum of HBO’s The Wire, Capone of Top Dogs of Comedy, Talent of NYC’s 98.7 KISS FM. We will be a traveling stage play filmed by WE Television, with a lot of press behind our play. The debut alone will be a red carpet media/press filled event.
I look forward to our play becoming a HUGE hit and hitting your city! For now, I need all my New York fans and friends to come out and support me and my fellow artists.

Hennessy Black Label! Hey guys. Wanted to give a big thanks to Hennessy for sponsoring my music video “Would you Still Love Me” which was covered by VH1. Over here in New York, Hennessy has been throwing these amazing red carpet events “Hennessy Artistry” to support artists like my self by showcasing our music in a major way. their star line up are of those from Travis McCoy to The Roots. The head executive Tony and I have been building our relationship with their product for the Latino market. I’ve been working hard over here building and branding a successful Latino cross over into the hip hop American/Latino market. Being a Latina in an American market it’s great to be able to bridge the gaps of our culture. Expect a lot of great cross branding with these guys. They are awesome!

I am the biggest fan of Wendy Williams for being such a real chick and someone who says things straight forward. As a woman who shares her struggles with being a curvy woman in a society where being a size ZERO is celebrated and curves are frowned upon. I love the fact that she continues to promote woman of curves. Raven Symone went on WW and she was GLOWING FABULOUS!!!! No matter what size you are, you are all beautiful.
