[STYLE] Somaya Reece notes, skin care products that work –

June 15, 2011 in Style & Beauty

Hey guys just thought i’d share some fun new products I live by.  On my off days I don’t wear make up at all! I run around in my glasses, moisturizer and occasional lipgloss. I’ve always loved to use oatmeal based products because they contain natural moisturizing ingredients that keep your skin glowing and are just  very good for your skin in the longterm. In this business I live under set lights and layers of makeup for hours on end. I notice when i’m working for longer hours my skin goes thru it. So I have made it a point to take care of my skin with the following products. Here is a video of me without any makeup after using my Aveeno bar.

I LIVE for my  Aveeno moisturizing bar. My grandmother used to use oatmeal on her face and at 90 years old her skin was flawless.  I use Aveeno Moisturizing Bar, it comes in Dry Skin or Combination Skin. Unlike many alcohol or harsh ingredient filled soaps. This bar is a soap-free cleanser that combines a special form of silky smooth oatmeal with skin softening moisturizers. The oatmeal leaves skin soft and smooth. It is also Dermatologist recommended!

When I use my bar I scrub it with these hand exfoliators I randomly found in the skin isle. I’ve been using them for ages. They really take off all the dry skin cells and leave your skin nice and clean. Scrubb your face with your Aveeno for a few minutes. Don’t over scrub or it will cause redness and irritation to your skin. After you fry off your face put on some moisturizer, even if you are at home. Keep your face moisturized.

It’s important no matter what nationality you are or skin tone to use SPF daily moisturizer. I have been using Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF. You can chose the SPF you are most comfortable with, I suggest you use the highest one as the ozone has caused the rays of light to be more intense over the years. I use the SPF 50 with Helioplex.

I’ll make another blog about at home masks and spas to continue your skin care routine :)

XOXO

I had a blast in NC! Within the first 20 minutes I was there I heard my 2 songs Would You Still Love Me & Boss Lady on the radio. Skye Lounge did a wonderful job promoting it.  The event turnout was jam packed. I had a commercial on the radio and an interview as well. Here are a few photos they took at the event. I will search for more. Dressed in Jovani Couture, Michael Kors jeans, Prada pump heels, clutch by French designer Le Petite Belles and Grey Ant Status glasses.
