For a girl like me who dedicated my entire life to coming. Being the girl that grew up cleaning toilets with my mother, was sabotaged my entire come up by jealous HATERS by boyfriends/grimy music producers, but I never gave up on my music. Hard, but I overcame adversity. And I kept my chin up with a smile even when I was crying on the inside. I crawled out of the darkness. Moments like these are really dope for me. And a reminder of how far i’ve come in life. The opportunities I have been given due to my hard work are appreciated like the roof over my head. I appreciate those things, not the material. I don’t think i’m “cool” just thankful. I just want to do what I love and bring smiles to fans. I’m crossing my fingers

The series will follow the women as they balance personal relationships and making it in the entertainment industry. Cameras will show Emily and Chrissy trying to lock their men down while Olivia and Somaya give viewers a look at what upcoming artists forgo to get ahead in the music game.

“The show is about strength and womanhood. I’m excited about the show and the women on it,” says Mashonda of the new venture.

In a music interview I was asked: You’re very comfortable with your curves and sexuality. Are you afraid of the backlash from the public because of your music? Hip Hop to be exact?

I said: Have you ever turned on Telemundo?

They said: Yes!

I said: Have you seen the women dancing and singing in hot outfits? Or heard a female Latin Hip Hop rapper?

They said: Yes not many, you seem to be building your own lane. But yes, (laughs) you’re right about the ladies of Telemundo and Latin America are very beautiful and sexy. There is a spark about all the Latinas I have interviewed and encountered. Tell me more in detail please.

I said: See, in my Country you don’t hide your curves. In our Latin countries it’s pretty normal to be sexxy. It’s normal to wear a short dress, or tight pants, even a low cut top.  We are hot blooded creatures. In the beaches of Brazil women are in tangas, and small bikinis. We are born this way, passionate, with a fire and sensual nature. Only the US seems to frown upon it. I don’t sell “sex”, I don’t sell violence or drugs in my music. I mix my Latin roots, hip hop, and music to dance to. Latinas we love to dance. We are very energetic. And that is exactly what I am bringing to the music game. I am just me! Dubbed “The Latina Jessica Rabbit” i’m no longer ashamed of my curvy figure as I once was early in the game. I refuse to be something I am not. I accept myself as I am. I am not the standard size zero. So love me or leave me, but you will always come back for more. Latinas ooze sensuality!

Hey guys. I have bad news but there is good news that follows. Due to me being sick, I am on bed rest for a few weeks. UGH!!!! It’s driving me insane and stirr crazy to be in bed for so long. Unfortunately because i;m down for a few weeks UGHHHHHH WEEKS?????  I cannot make my rehearsals for my play. Due to my absence at rehearsals it cuts a little too close to the debut date Feb 12, 2011 and it really throws off the chemistry with my fellow castmates. I regret to inform you that I will not be able to play my leading lady “Nina” character in my debut play date. However, the good news is. I am still a part of the play for our other show dates, and I will be attending the play to support my talented castmates. To all fans who planned on coming, I will be there, but I will not be performing. However, we will meet and you will get to meet my castmates. The bright side is looking up Please continue to support this talented cast!
